1. Plant in a sunny position.
2. Ensure they have adequate water in Summer
3. Paeonies do not like being shifted, so do not expect flowers in the first year
4. Fertilize well in late Winter, again in Spring
5. Cut back old stems when the plant becomes dormant near the end of Autumn
